Once you have effectively chosen your boat, you can consult the calendar immediately on the page for the boat you are interested in or contact us directly to check availability for the period of your intended voyage. If it is still available, we can hold the initial inquiry for 7 days subject to confirmation.
Your booking will be confirmed after we receive your deposit and your signed charter contract.
We also require a list of all persons on board, a copy of a valid identity card or passport, a current certificate of competence to skipper the boat of choice and a navigation log book.
For reservations of semi-rigid craft (RIB’s), we ask for a copy of your licence for coastal motor vessels.
The tariff for chartering a boat is excluding VAT (in euro’s). The amount is inclusive for boat and all its equipment as standard. The options include spinnaker, gennaker, tender, etc., the handling of the boat and your first night aboard.
The insurance must cover all risks to the boat for the duration of the rental period. The cover must also include risks for the pontoon berth of the marina (departure and arrival if different) for the duration of the period of the rental.
Terms and conditions
To complete your reservation you we ask that you pay 50% of the rental amount and then 40% thirty days before your departure date. The balance is to be paid in full on the day of departure.
Fees /consumables. The fees concerning batteries, gas and fuel for the engine(s) are checked before your departure.
We require that you refuel the boat to initial reserves else an additional fee for refueling will apply.
Cleaning and General Hygiene
It is the responsibility of the person chartering the boat to maintain the cleanliness of the boat. Aries AMS Marine can provide an additional cleaning service for the interior of the boat upon request.
We ask that all persons who come aboard our boats ensure that the fresh water utilities are rinsed and clean to include the WC, shower and washing facilities, as well as the appliances such as fridges and ovens, all tableware and dishes are cleaned and stored and the wastebaskets emptied.
Unfortunately, for hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed on board. We thank you for your understanding of this matter.
The boats available for charter by Aries AMS Marine are insured for all risks for rental by an insurance broker whose charges appear on your rental contract.
In order to limit the risks we invite you to subscribe to an ‘insurance excess indemnity scheme’ operated by ‘Ouest Assurances’ (the document can be found on the website www.ouest-assurances.fr . This policy covers your deposit should any serious issues arise that exceed the amount of the deposit that is held by us. It is a feature of our service that gives complete peace of mind for the full enjoyment of your sailing charter.
Upon your arrival at our offices, you must give us the deposit for your boat. This deposit can be a cheque or bank card and will be held for 30 days to be refunded in full if no problems arise.
The time and date that you can board the boat is stated on your contract. The day of your departure we thank you for first visiting our office to inform us of your arrival. We will hand over the keys and escort you to you boat’s location. We will take you through the full inventory of all the equipment aboard and that it is in good condition and everything functions as it should. We will explain all the functions of the navigation instruments, the engine, and the features of the boat. We will take the time to answer any questions you may have at this time.
We reserve the right to install a skipper, at addition cost to you, if we judge the skills and experience of your crew to be insufficient for the charter.
Vitalling the boat
Often, you don’t have the time for stocking the boat with provisions for the journey. We can provide you with a full list of provisions in order to have them delivered directly to you the day you arrive. The delivery service is free!
We remain at your service throughout the duration of your cruise and assure you that a permanent telephone line is available 7/7 9am until 8pm in case you need quick technical advice and support.
Returning the boat
As is indicated on the contract, you must return the boat on the day and before the hour stated. You must refill the fuel tank(s) to their original levels and ensure that all equipment is maintained in the same condition and functionality as the day of your departure.
One of our technicians will inspect and verify the condition of the boat. A diver will inspect the condition of the hull below the water line including sea cocks keel, rudder etc. for weekend charters (particularly Sunday) you must leave the boat in its usual berth, correctly moored with the keys in the place agreed on the day of departure.
Over the next few days our technicians will complete the inventory and conduct a full serviceability check.
The deposit will be sent to you in less than thirty days if no problems are found
